This School stands as a monument to the magnanimity of the citizens of Mettupalayam and its surrounding areas, the efforts and teamwork of the members of the Rotary Club and Inner Wheel Clubs of Mettupalayam, the dedication of the staff, and the good intentions of well-known philanthropists.
For close to 47 years now, the School has thrived on contributions in several forms.
Financial Donations: Several people, from well-known philanthropists, industrialists, alumni, Rotarians and well-wishers have made voluntary financial donations to the School.
Land: Land usage for the original Metro Junior School was donated by a well-wisher. The land on which the current premises stand was also donated by Rotarians.
Physical Infrastructure: Several truckloads of sand and steel for construction were donated during the expansion spree.
Specialized Services: Architecture and Design for the School premises were developed by a well-known Architect firm based in Coimbatore.
Supporting Infrastructure: Shelter for the school bus fleet, water purifiers, projectors/screens, chairs and shelves for the auditorium were donated at various points of time.
Fund-raisers: Massive support from the public for various fund-raising initiatives such as musical events.
Time: The un-tiring efforts of the current and past Rotarians in managing the School and its expansion, including the development of this website.
Value Additions: Recent donations have provided an opportunity to provide laptops and projectors in classrooms, to cater to educational needs of the millenial generation.
Talent Development: A group of alumni have organized an event that brings out the artistic talents of students.
