An anti drug awareness campaign,initiated by the Tamilnadu Police headed by DSP Balaji and coordinated by Rotary Mettupalayam,was conducted at Metro Matriculation Hr Sec School,with over 250 students participating from Metro School,Kumaran College and Nanjiah Lingammal Polutechnic College.Mr.Balaji highlighted many aspects with regard to various types of drugs prevailing in the market and how harmful they are.He guided students on how to avoid getting into the trap of using drugs.and also mentioned the role of police in eradicating drugs.He urged students to form an Anti-drug club and report on any untoward instances directly to him or to police.Rtn jayakumar,presdient,Rotary Mettupalayam,and Metro School Correspondent L S Siduram,Chairman E S Balagopal,Principal Sulochana,and Secretary Vijayanandh were present.
